The Alberta Avenue Business Association (AABA) is dedicated to transforming Alberta Avenue into Edmonton’s most vibrant and diverse district for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Their mission focuses on elevating the local business community through support and collaboration, positioning the district as a premier destination through development and exceptional experiences.
AABA’s key initiatives include:

  1. Marketing & Promotions: Supporting and creating activities that contribute to business growth, success, and economic development in the area.
  2. Business Attraction and Retention: Engaging in business support activities and attracting complementary businesses to foster a strong, healthy, and sustainable local economy.
  3. Community and Wellbeing (Safety and Security): Ensuring that community development contributes to the wellbeing and beautification of the district.
Representing over 250 businesses along 118th Avenue between 79th and 105th Streets, AABA showcases a mosaic of family-owned cafes, service shops, food markets, restaurants, and retail shops. Through the “We Believe in 118” initiative, AABA collaborates with local businesses, Arts on the Ave, The Edmonton EXPO Centre, the Avenue Revitalization Initiative, the Neighbourhood Empowerment Team, and the Edmonton Police Service to enhance community safety and vibrancy.
